Welcome to the MiaBella Kennels run by Chris & Jane Counsell, breeders of Lagotto Romagnolo dogs in the Wairarapa, New Zealand. Lagottos were originally bred as water retrievers in Italy but nowadays they are the only breed recognised as Truffle sniffing dogs.

We imported Mia Rose from Nugold Kennels, Perth. Our stud, Tartufo Roco (Gino) – whose father Sarno was originally imported from Italy to Australia, came from Azzuronastro Kennels.
