Truffles
Our dogs are excellent at sniffing for truffles!! They have received extensive training using the same methods that are utilized on successful truffle sniffing dogs in Europe. On a recent trip to Gisborne, they found several black perigord truffles at Oakland truffière, one weighing approx 150 – 200g (right).
We would be happy to negotiate a fee to come and look for truffles on your truffière, this would be mostly to cover the costs of travel & accommodation and is partly dependent on your location.
